PDFCourt (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Aventheon LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website at pdfcourt.com and related services.

2. Documents You Upload

PDFCourt tools process your PDF files on our secure servers. Your files are uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, processed, and deleted automatically after your session, with any remainder cleared by an automatic storage lifecycle policy. We do not read, index, store, or share the content of your documents.

3. Information We Collect

• Account information — If you create an account: name, email address, and hashed password. We never store plaintext passwords.
• Usage analytics — We use PostHog for anonymized product usage analytics, tracking events such as which tools are used and how often. These events do not contain document content. Analytics data is stored on PostHog’s US-based infrastructure.
• Feedback — When you voluntarily submit feedback or support requests, we store your rating, comment, email (if provided), and basic browser metadata.
• Payment information — Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy governs payment data.
• Cookies — We use essential cookies for authentication (JWT tokens) and a PostHog cookie for analytics session tracking. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve PDFCourt services.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To respond to support requests and feedback.
• To generate aggregate, anonymized statistics about product usage (e.g., total PDFs processed, average ratings).
• To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing.
• PostHog — for anonymized product analytics.
• Law enforcement — only when required by law or valid legal process.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for stored files, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure server infrastructure. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

7. Data Retention

• Uploaded documents: deleted automatically after your session, with any remainder cleared by an automatic storage lifecycle policy.
• Account data: retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
• Analytics events: retained for up to 24 months, then aggregated or deleted.
• Feedback: retained indefinitely for product improvement and evidence purposes, unless you request deletion.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us through the contact form. Account holders can delete their account from the Profile page.

9. Children’s Privacy

PDFCourt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of PDFCourt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
